INAPHASE won this competitive tender to refurbish and fit-out Y4A Building in preparation for the relocation of campus security, University mail and cleaning services into a new fit for purpose office building. The project scope covered demolition and complete strip out of the existing internal fitout, relocation of inground services to new amenity locations, acoustic wall linings, set plasterboard and two way grid ceilings, new office partitions, glazing, carpet, vinyl and epoxy floor finishes, detail joinery, reception, kitchen, breakout area, workstations and loose furniture. The building infrastructure was upgraded to include new Electrical switchboard, IT and Comms room, UPS with battery backup, diesel generator, ducted mechanical system and state of the art Audio Visual system. The existing garage was also transformed into a new mail loading dock that connects to the new constructed mail room.
Externally, a new awning over the front and back entry were installed along with an extension to the existing timber deck with concrete stairs leading down to the grass area to allow for a larger outdoor area for staff. The existing pergola structure over the deck also received new fibreglass roof sheeting and a new outdoor umbrella was installed.
The project was completed over a compressed sixteen-week program which included both external and internal works.
